Our Breathworks Mindfulness for Health eight-week course provides you with the skills and approaches to ease your suffering from pain, ill health, fatigue and associated stress within a small, supportive and friendly group setting. The course is based on the book Mindfulness for Health by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman
Who is it for?
People we have helped so far include those with chronic back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-operative pain, cancer, multiple sclerosis, CFS/ME, neuropathies, Parkinson's disease, and many other types of pain and illness.The course is open to all on a self-referral basis This list is not exhaustive and we welcome your enquiry whatever your condition.

The standard course fee is $500 and includes a handbook and a set of audio CD or MP3 files. Participants are encouraged to purchase a copy of the Mindfulness for Health book.There are a number of concessionary places available for people in financial hardship please speak to us about these.
The course is led by Clarissa owner and founder of Nen Consulting, an accredited Breathworks Mindfulness teacher. Clarissa was introduced to Breathworks in 2013 when she was struggling with stress and looking for a better way to cope. Mindfulness helped to transform her response to the world and now as a teacher she is committed to helping others discover the power of mindfulness so they can lead healthier, happier lives.

The Mindfuless for Health Course will be an immersive and practical course that takes place over 8 weeks at the peaceful Well For Life clinic in Crow's Nest, Sydney.
Each week will be made up of engaging presentations, meditations, movement, enactments and group discussion (plus some lovely poetry). Participants will be given home practice each week to support class learning and to embed mindfulness into their daily lives.
The core components of the Mindfulness for Health Course are:
Breath Awareness: our breathing habits and how we can use breath to manage pain, illness or stress
Body Awareness: developing greater awareness and ease with the body to help in letting go of areas of pain or tension
Mindful Movement: gentle simple movements done with the breath that ease pain and tension
Mindfulness in Daily Life: bringing awareness to the your daily activities to manage pain
Three Minute Breathing Space:an effective way of bringing calm, peace and focus in the midst of your day
Meditation Practices: during the course you will be introduced to seven different mindfulness meditations that build progressively on one another. These are all about 10 minutes long:
